The case pertained to the highly prestigious grant-in-aid project assistance of India to the Republic of Myanmar for construction/upgradation of 69 second world war era bridges and approach roads in Myanmar. The contract was terminated on account of slow progress. The Indian Contractor challenged the termination by filing a writ petition before the Manipur High Court. We represented the project management consultant (PMC) questioning the maintainability of the writ petition. The Judgments of the Single Judge and Division Bench held that Manipur High Court did not have the jurisdiction to entertain the writ petition.
