Mr. Abir Phukan graduated from ILS Law College, Pune in 2004. He enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi and began working in the original, appellate and company jurisdiction of the High Court of Delhi. Since 2007 he has also been appearing regularly in the Supreme Court of India in numerous Special Leave Petitions, Civil Appeals and Writ Petitions. His prime areas of focus are the civil, infrastructure, real estate and commercial laws. Apart from Corporates and individual clients, Mr. Phukan advises and appears in various courts and tribunals for Public Sector Undertakings likes NBCC (India) Ltd., Rites Ltd., and Engineering Projects (India) Ltd. He was a part of the research team of the Supreme Court Project Committee on the restatement of the Indian Law on legislative privileges. He occasionally contributes columns for ‘The Hindu’ and ‘The Frontline’.
