Kuriakose Varghese, likes to believe that he is primarily a litigator. He has argued several matters in the Supreme Court of India, High Courts at Delhi, Bombay, Chandigarh, Kerala and Madras. He has also appeared in several National level Tribunals and Statutory Commissions. Some of them are reported judgments in the field of arbitration, banking laws, law of trusts, employment law, mining laws, ecclesiastical law, criminal law etc. Adv. Kuriakose used to teach International Trade Law at the Indian Law Institute at New Delhi. He has been a keynote speaker in the ASEAN Conference at the UN- Asia Pacific Commission and has lectured widely in Malaysia, Singapore, Suriname, Egypt, Japan and the United Kingdom. He has recently compiled an omnibus Report for the World Bank on codified labour law for the tourism industry. Adv. Kuriakose has an Honours degree in History from St.Stephen’s College, Delhi, an LL.B from CLC, Faculty of Law, Delhi University and an LL.M from SOAS, University of London. He was a Commonwealth scholar and also held the Maheshwari Dayal scholarship in Delhi University.

Graduating from the Symbiosis Society’s Law College (Pune), Mr. Velayudhan Shyamohan commenced his legal career at the Trial Courts and Tribunals, focusing primarily on the criminal  side. He then served as a Law Clerk to a Judge of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India for about 18 months. He worked in the Chambers of Ld. Senior Advocate, Mr. K.K. Venugopal (presently the Ld. Attorney General for India) for a period of four years. Mr. Shyamohan became an Advocate on Record of the Supreme Court of India in the year 2014. He represents a large number of clients in varied fields of law ranging from tenancy issues to high value commercial disputes. Mr.Shyamohan was perhaps the youngest Additional Standing Counsel for the State of Kerala in the Supreme Court. He is a Group A Panel Counsel for conducting Central Government litigation before the Supreme Court of India. As a panel lawyer, he regularly represents the different Ministries including Finance, Defence, Home, Commerce and Industry, Personnel & Training and Health & Family Welfare and also agencies like the Central Bureau of Investigation. He advices and represents clients in varied fields of law including Contracts, Trusts, Education, Service, Banking, Arbitration, Property, Criminal Laws, Company Law and IPR.

ABIR PHUKAN

Mr. Phukan garnered valuable experience in the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi and multiple tribunals and District Courts in Delhi while working with his Seniors in the early years of his career. As a part of KMNP LAW, this has helped him represent clients in different areas of laws in different High Courts across the Country. He has advised and represented several public sector undertakings and private clients in multiple fora. He focuses on civil, infrastructure, real estate and commercial laws. Apart from his work in Delhi, Mr. Phukan has been looking after the firm’s litigation and arbitration work in Northeast through an office and a team in Guwahati. He has been handling work pertaining to several development projects, some of which relate to the Act East Policy of the Government of India, an initiative towards fostering a “free, open, prosperous and inclusive Indo-Pacific Region”. He was a part of the research team of the Supreme Court Project Committee on the restatement of the Indian Law on legislative privileges. He has contributed articles to National and Regional Newspapers (in Northeast) as well as to various online news portals. 

DR. MATHEW KUZHALNADAN

Dr. Mathew Kuzhalnadan has had almost 18 years of experience at the Bar and has practiced in Courts and Tribunals across the country during the course of which he has dealt with cases in diverse areas of law. Dr. Kuzhalnadan earned his doctorate in “Regional Trade Agreements” from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His interest in the subject also inspired him to teach at the Indian Law Institute, Delhi for more than a year. He is an advisor to the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India as well as to several State Governments on matters pertaining to environmental and forest laws. Dr. Kuzhalnadan is a prolific writer and has contributed several articles in leading newspapers. He is also involved in national politics and is Kerala State President of the All India Professionals Congress. He has also been appointed as the General Secretary of the KPCC.

Udai V.S. Rathore

As Of-Counsel at KMNP LAW, he focuses on defense, regulatory, commercial, and public law disputes with an emphasis on litigation strategy and risk mitigation. Udai Vikram Singh Rathore is a litigation expert with over 17 years of experience across Indian courts and tribunals.
He trained in the chambers of Mr. Krishnan Venugopal, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, where he worked for 14 years, gaining in-depth experience in high-stakes and precedent-setting cases before the Supreme Court, High Courts, and tribunals nationwide. He has assisted the Government of India in trade disputes before the World Trade Organization (WTO). He contributed as a researcher to the Supreme Court of India’s Restatement of Law project on “Legislative Privilege in India.”

Akshat Gogna is a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer with experience across the Supreme Court, High Courts, and various tribunals including the NCDRC, TDSAT, CCI, and NCLAT. As a Senior Associate at KMNP Law (Delhi), he advises on complex disputes spanning arbitration, commercial litigation, constitutional law, insurance, and IP. He previously worked at Morae Global (Bangalore), focusing on contract review and negotiation. Akshat also wrote a paper on “Mitigating the India-Pakistan Maritime, Humanitarian, and Environmental Adversities” which garnered critical attention not only in academia but also in the policy circles.
